About Géraldine Ducoin

As the founder of Laffitte Languages, I have been teaching French for 15 years to both professional and corporate clients.

In 1992 I took a one year intensive training course with Valetti school to become a professional French teacher and quickly joined Brunner Interlingua in London. My corporate clients have included M&S, The Independent newspaper, Royal Mail, British Gas and Nomura, covering clients with different levels of French and different objectives. In 1998, I moved back to to Paris with my family and joined Armstrong Languages, teaching corporate clients as well and assisting the director with the office work. More recently, I have taken a specialised course in teaching French as a foreign Language for children and young people with the Alliance Francaise in Paris. I am now running Laffitte Languages providing intensive courses at home or working with l'Ermitage international school and in companies in Paris.  I am 46 years old and I leave with my three children: Arthur, eighteen, Pénélope, sixteen and Hector, ten.

I strongly recommend Geraldine to anyone wishing to learn French. She is a wonderful teacher who is patient, enthusiastic, and makes you feel very at ease.

What We WiLL do For you and Your Child

We know that arranging a French Exchange can require a leap of faith; they are often a bit of a lottery. At Laffitte Languages you can rest assured that your child will be happy, safe and well looked after. My personal engagement is to support your child throughout his or her stay with us:

  • I will personally pick up your child from the station or from the airport.
  • I will follow your child’s progress daily and maintain contact with the family.
  • Each sports teacher has been vetted, tried and approved.
  • I will personally take and pick up your child to and from their lessons.
  • And, of course I will be your child's French teacher!
